Breed: Klee Kai & Husky Mix (possible Pomsky mix) / Adoption fee is $150 / Sex: Female / Age: Approximately 2 yrs old / Weight: Approximately 28 pounds 

*Special Needs due to shyness with new people due to probable past abuse. Once she knows you she is great.

Duchess is a super sweet and very well behaved girl.  She has a calm and quite nature but when she sees someone she knows, she will light up the room with excitement!  Duchess is very shy and fearful with people, especially strangers.  She takes her time to warm up to new people and will need someone who will continue to work with her 'stranger danger' once she is in a home. If you come to visit her she will not be ready to interact with you as you are a new person and she don't have trust with you yet.  Duchess is housebroken, knows how to use a doggy door to go outside, and is crate trained.

Duchess may have had a rough past, which her caregiver at the rescue believes is the cause of her cautious behavior. Once you have earned her trust and are in her circle you have a companion for life.  Duchess loves adventures and to explore.  Once she opens up to you, Duchess loves to play and be a goofy girl.   She would do well in a home with someone that has patience and a lot of love to give to her, and another dog to play with. She needs someone that can handle letting her come into a new space and just letting her adjust at her own pace and waiting till she is ready for interaction (2-3 days from past experience other dogs helped). She will need to be leashed walked in the yard the first few days till she gets a bond with you. Once she is bonded she will be your lap puppy.

Duchess has had her age appropriate vaccinations brought up to date with Rabies shot (4 m & older), heartworm tested (4 m & older) and/or started on prevention, basic dewormer, spayed and microchipped by 24Petwatch with free registration that also comes with 30 days of free 24Petwatch Pet Insurance
